Last term we did "swim for life" at water world .
i was scared first but with some help from
Chris. It was fun thanks Chris for the help.

Measurement

Measurement. I like measurement because it is fun and I like mathematics.
Me and Te-aho were looking at how tall we were with rope.
I was 1 meter and 20 centimeters.
Te-aho was 1 meter 20 centimeters.
I like measurement and that's why I'm here.

Scorpion sting

Intro
If you like adventure/survival books read scorpion sting.

Summery
Scorpion sting is about 2 brothers called Sam and Nathan coming across. challenges. Sam and Nathan venture out into a desert that no one has step foot in. Nathan is a camping master. Nathan has been trained really good. Sam and Nathan fall into a  cave. They venture into it. They find a kangaroo fossil. Sam took a picture. The flash was so strong the cave collapsed. The rocks covered Nathan up. Sam went to get help. Along the way he meets friends and challenges.

Likes and dislikes
I like this part of the book because Sam saves Joey.
But I disliked this part of the book because Sam does not get help from the people that where shooting at them.


Theme
The main theme was to never give up because Sam try's his best to save his bro Nathan and ect.

Character description
Sam is 14 and his brother is 23.Nathan is Sam's brother.

Recommendation 
I recommend this book for boys that are 9+.

Netball taster

Yesterday Room 12 had a netball taster. Our netball teacher was called Aroha. We learnt to pivot, chest pass and rainbow pass. It was a lot of  fun. After the passes we got this weird ball called a reaction ball. We had to group up into a pair. We had to stand next to each other, then we had to drop the ball on the ground. Your partner had to catch it before the ball flings every where. There was another activity we did using the same ball. Your partner has to face the opposite way. When you are going to bounce the ball you have to say now! you bounce the ball and your partner has to catch the ball. We had a game of netball and my team lost. after the lesson finished we had morning tea.

Term 1 in Room 12

In room 12 we have been doing several activities like swimming,games,free lunchtime swims and followed by alot more. I'm looking forward for having more friends by the end of term 1.
